Oprah started as a sexually abused little girl from a broken home.  From these inauspicious beginnings, in only 50 years, she's created a media empire worth billions of dollars.  Further, she's generated good will for herself and her causes on a global scale.  She did this through hard work, discipline and focus.

No... I'm not specifically an Oprah fan.     

I'm a fan of people who determine a direction, set goals and take demonstrable action over and over again until they achieve their objectives.  I'm an admirer of people who have come from humble beginnings and, through their own exertions, have achieved greatness.  I'm a supporter of people who determine their own direction and accomplish their dreams.

You know... maybe I am an Oprah fan.

She's not the only American success story.  Thousands of other people have accomplished tremendous things starting from scratch, without an inheritance, in a single life time.

With very little thought, these four come to mind:

I'm not an advocate of any of them.  They're just the first four demonstrable successes that flowed from my fingertips. 

The point is, in a single life time, without wealth or resources, without assets or support, they rose to play a significant role on both national and international stages.  They applied intellect, energy and hard work to achieve tremendous success. 

What about you? 

Are you ready to apply your God given talents to become more than you currently are?  Do you choose to exist or to prevail? 

Whether you believe it or not.  You're better than your circumstances. 

Woody Allen said, "99% of success is just showing up." 

Everyone in America has the opportunity to succeed on their own terms.  The only requirement is consistent, directed action towards a clearly defined goal.

Why then do so many choose failure and obscurity when there are numerous wonderful vehicles freely available to lift them from mediocrity?  I believe it's because they don't believe in themselves, they don't believe in their MLM company, they don't truly believe in the concept of MLM. 

If you have personal self-doubts, take your cue from Oprah and those like her.  Never forget, there are millions of people whose circumstances are far more modest, destitute, or desperate than yours will ever be.  And... through an act of will, they've propelled themselves forward to an enviable position.  You can to!

Finally... as for believing MLM is a viable business model, I assure you it is.  I've been doing this for a very long time.  When you tell the truth about your MLM business, when you don't blow smoke, when you don't lie to your prospects, they enter your MLM business with their eyes wide open.  They know what to do and when to do it.  That can make you a lot of money.
